Cassiowave Radio Show – Art Direction & Design
Editorial Design · Art Direction · Motion Graphics
Designer and art director for Cassiowave (a radio show on WSVA, School of Visual Art Student Radio), creating interactive posters, custom typography, and 2D animations using Adobe Illustrator and After Effects. Blending motion and print design to capture the show’s eclectic, experimental vibe.
Tools Used: Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects

Problem: Reimagining a NYC-based radio show for a contemporary Gen Z to millennial audience, while differentiating it in a saturated audio and media landscape.
Solution: Created a simple yet avant-garde visual identity—one that evokes nostalgia while also feeling futuristic, almost alien. Key inspirations included retro-futurism and Russian Suprematism, which informed a design language that is minimal in structure but rich in conceptual depth.
Outcome: The refreshed branding and revamped social media content captured greater attention online, leading to increased engagement, stronger visual cohesion across platforms, and a noticeable boost in repeat listenership. The show now stands out not just for its content, but for its unmistakable aesthetic.
